Jessie was found abandoned in Homestead, a place far too well known for being a dumping ground for animals. The moment we took her in, she went straight to the hospital for diagnostics. She tested positive for heartworm, which is unfortunately very common for dogs who have not received monthly prevention, especially here in South Florida.

Jessie is now undergoing treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. She is already feeling better and will be perfectly healthy in no time. While she continues her treatment, we are accepting applications for her forever home.

Jessie truly is the sweetest girl. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves kids, and even does great with cats. Her gentle, grateful spirit shines through every single day, and she is going to make one very lucky family incredibly happy.
